Book Review - Becoming the Woman of His Dreams

So I just finished a great book that has inspired me to be a better wife.
The books is 'Becoming the Woman of His Dreams by Sharon Jayness
This book dives into into the seven qualities every man longs for. She outlines how to serve your husband by meeting these basic needs
Which are:
1. Prays for Him
2. Respects Him
3. Adores Him
4. Initiates Intimate Friendship with Him
5. Safeguards Her Marriage
6. Encourages Him
7. Sexually Fulfills him

Her endorsement are many here is some that I really liked

“All women have a desire to be loved and admired by their husbands as a Proverbs 31 woman. Every man needs to be respected by his wife. Sharon has captured the essence of a man’s core needs and offers practical steps women can take to be the woman of his dreams. As men experience the ‘praises’ of their wives, they in turn will be free to love and admire their wives. If you are looking for a book that will encourage you, you’ve found it—Sharon delivers help and hope on every page.”
Dennis Rainey, President of Family Life

“As we at Promise Keepers endeavor to help men become better husbands and fathers, it’s encouraging to know that others are doing the same thing for the fairer sex. I’d highly recommend Becoming the Woman of His Dreams to any woman who wants to have a better marriage. Author Sharon Jaynes hits the nail squarely on the head when it comes to understanding what a man really seeks—and even yearns for—in a wife.”

  1. I'm always on the fence with self-help books. There seems to be an abundance of books to tell women how to be a better partner but are there the same number of books for men?

It makes me feel like people think women are the root of all problems or it could be that men don't read as much as women. I see more men at the magazine section than the book section when I go to the book store.

  2. I like this book because she says on many areas that the wife isn't at fault for her husbands short comings.

To often when I'm out I see women just be so rude and ugly to the men they are with. I respect myself too much to disrespect another person like that. Husband or not.

I do agree men aren't nearly as likely to read a book on marriage or being better husbands, not when there are sports magazines to be read!
